SL army requisitioned for Pakistan team security

COLOMBO: The Sri Lankan cricket board has hired the services of army besides police to provide security to Pakistan cricket team during its tour to Sri Lanka, board sources said.

As many as 100 security men will be deployed for the Pakistan team security, said spokesman of Cricket Sri Lanka Charith Senanayake.

He told Geo News on telephone that the best ever security arrangements have been made for Pakistan cricket team while Cricket Sri Lanka will do its best to make the tour of Pakistan team pleasant.

Meanwhile, liaison officer of the Pakistan cricket team Kamal told Geo News that a special task force has been set up and more than hundred security officials will be deployed for safeguarding the Pakistan team.

He said that there will be seven vehicles of security officials who will keep Pakistan team escorted during its travelling from hotel to stadium.
